July 2, 2008![]() Torrance Chamber of Commerce PAC Endorses Jane Harman for Congress The TACC PAC board of directors is proud to announce our endorsement of Congresswoman Jane Harman in the 36th Congressional District for 2008. "Congresswoman Harman has been a staunch supporter of the Los Angeles Air Force Base and our region's vital aerospace companies. We encourage voters in the 36th District to vote to re-elect Congresswoman Jane Harman this year," commented new TACC PAC Chairman Toni Bock.
April 22, 2008 Torrance Chamber of Commerce PAC Endorses four candidates for Torrance City Council. After asking all 14 city council candidates to complete an extensive questionnaire, sponsoring a candidates' forum with the South Bay Board of Realtors, and interviewing finalist candidates, the TACC PAC Board of Directors voted to endorse the following candidates:
"I am happy that so many well qualified candidates are seeking the four open seats on the City Council," stated Chamber President Mark Applegate. "We have worked hard to give all of the candidates an opportunity to share with us -- and the voters of Torrance - their qualifications, experience, and ideas as we approach the June election. The Chamber partnered with the Board of Realtors to sponsor the first candidates' forum this year and now we encourage all businesses and residents in Torrance to get involved in this exciting campaign." UPDATE!! Congratulations to endorsed candidates Gene Barnett and Cliff Numark on their election to the City Council! Congratulations also to Pat Furey and Susan Rhilinger on their election. We look forward to working with you all! The TACC PAC also endorsed passage of Measure T which was successful on June 3rd.
